Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using our website or placing an order. By using this website or purchasing from us, you agree to these terms.

1. About Us

2. Use of This Website

This website is provided for information and enquiry purposes. By accessing or using this website you agree to:

• Use it only for lawful purposes
• Not attempt to damage, disrupt or interfere with the website
• Not misrepresent yourself or your connection with any person or organisation

We reserve the right to restrict access to or remove content from this website at any time without notice.

3. Product Information, Availability and "Price on Request"

We make every effort to display our products accurately on this website. However:

• Colours and textures may appear differently on different screens.
• Product availability shown on the website may not reflect current in-store or workshop stock, and a product may sell out or become temporarily unavailable between your visit and your order.
• Each piece is individually handmade. Slight variations in embroidery, colour, size and finish are part of its authenticity, and are not a fault.
• Where a product is shown as "Price on Request", no price has yet been confirmed and that item cannot be paid for through our online Stripe checkout. You will need to contact us via WhatsApp, phone or our enquiry form so that we can confirm availability and the final price with you directly before any payment is taken.
• Prices shown elsewhere are indicative — final prices are confirmed at the time of your enquiry, online order, or measurement consultation (for tailoring).
• We reserve the right to change or discontinue products without notice.

4. Ordering, Enquiries and Online Checkout

You can place an order with us either (a) via WhatsApp, phone or our online enquiry form, where we confirm availability and price with you directly, or (b) where available, by completing a purchase directly through our website's online checkout. The general process is as follows:

1. You send an enquiry via WhatsApp, phone or the website form, or you add an available, correctly-priced item to your basket and proceed to our online checkout.
2. For enquiry-based orders, we confirm availability and price with you before anything is paid.
3. For online checkout orders, you enter your delivery and contact details and are then taken to Stripe's secure hosted checkout page to complete payment by card.
4. Payment, and collection or delivery, are then arranged or confirmed.

A contract is formed between you and Durga Designs (i) for enquiry-based orders, when we confirm your order and you confirm payment or provide a deposit, or (ii) for online checkout orders, when Stripe confirms your payment has been successfully completed and we issue an order confirmation. Before that point, either party may withdraw without obligation.

You are responsible for making sure the contact, delivery address and order details you provide at checkout are complete and correct, as we rely on this information to process, dispatch and deliver your order.

5. Pricing and Payment

• All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and inclusive of any applicable taxes.
• Prices for custom tailoring are confirmed after measurement consultation. Prices marked "Price on Request" are confirmed directly with you before any payment is taken — these items cannot be purchased through the online checkout until a price has been agreed.
• Online card payments are processed securely by Stripe using their hosted checkout page. You enter your card details directly on Stripe's own secure payment page — Durga Designs does not see, handle or store your card number, CVC or any other raw card details at any point.
• For in-store or enquiry-based orders, we may also accept cash and, where available, card payment in person — please confirm your preferred method when ordering. We do not display, request or accept personal bank account details for online checkout orders, and no bank details are shown to customers as part of the online checkout process.
• A deposit may be required for custom stitching orders.
• Full payment must be received before delivery or handover of goods, and — for online orders — your order will only be confirmed and processed once Stripe has confirmed that payment has been received successfully.

6. Order Confirmation, Processing and Dispatch

Once Stripe confirms that your online payment has been completed successfully, we will treat your order as confirmed and you will receive an order confirmation. Our team will then begin preparing your order by hand. When your order is dispatched, you will receive a further update with courier and tracking information where available (see our Delivery & Collection page for full detail). Order confirmation and dispatch updates may be sent to you by email and/or WhatsApp.

8. Returns and Refunds

Please see our Returns & Refunds page for our full policy. Your statutory rights under UK consumer law are not affected.

9. Custom Tailoring Terms

• All tailoring work is carried out by Misha Tailoring, a service of Durga Designs.
• Prices for custom stitching are confirmed after an in-person measurement appointment.
• Once tailoring work has commenced, deposits and advance payments are non-refundable unless the work is faulty.
• Completion timescales are estimated and not guaranteed, but we will always inform you if there is a delay.
• You are responsible for providing accurate measurements or attending for fitting if required.

Each piece is individually handmade. Slight variations in embroidery, colour, size and finish are part of its authenticity, and apply equally to bespoke tailoring and to our handmade artisan products.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, logos, layout and design — is owned by or licensed to Durga Designs. You may not reproduce, distribute or use any content without our written permission.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Durga Designs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from use of this website or our products and services. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the price you paid for the relevant product or service.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by UK law.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Updated terms will be published on this page. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
